At Megeve In the French Alps, the Domaine du Mont d’Arbois covers 450 hectares
In the heart of unspoilt nature, on the heights of Megève. All around, a breathtaking landscape of beauty and a setting that impresses, facing the Mont Blanc rests the Domaine du Mont d’Arbrois, a Four Seasons Hotel resort.
Created almost a century ago by Baroness Noémie de Rothschild, the Domaine du Mont d’Arbois is today the symbol of a lifestyle fostered by three generations. An iconoclastic vision of hospitality and luxury, which sees one of the most prestigious financial families in Europe receive its guests in simplicity, with elegance and discretion.
It is also the symbol of the local commitment of the family, whose projects are linked to the desire to develop and promote the skiing territories of Megeve.
An intuition become reality
Originally, an inspiration. That of the Baroness Noémie de Rothschild. In the early 20’s, this energetic personality, in charge of many works, seeks a place of rest in the Alps. She dreams of a simple ski resort with an intimate atmosphere. Discovering the little-known village of Megève, the Baroness decided to set up a resort there and inaugurated in 1922 a first hotel. Her intuition is a hit: Megève quickly acquires an international reputation.
Today, Benjamin and Ariane de Rothschild have transformed Mont d’Arbois into a true hotel group, with an offer of hotels, restaurants and high-altitude leisure activities. Involved personally in the field, they knew how to preserve the authenticity of the site by mobilizing the local craftsmen and by privileging a traditional architecture.
Upon discovering Mont d’Arbois, my grandmother, Noémie de Rothschild had a wonderful intuition. It’s up to us to live his legacy, making sure we always stay one step ahead.

A relationship that counts
The quality of the welcome at Mont d’Arbois is not a coincidence. It symbolizes the relationship to the other that characterizes the Rothschild family, in its financial activities and its philanthropic, cultural and sports commitments. An unvarnished relationship built over time.
To know how to receive is to know one’s client, his tastes, his personality and his family; build relationships to turn each encounter into a real experience; invite everyone to come back to a place where we know him and where he feels good.
The approach of the Rothschild family applies to both men and territories. In Megève, this commitment has never failed. This consistency has made it possible to offer the Mont d’Arbois and Megève landscapes a development that is both flourishing and balanced, respectful of the site and its high Savoyard character.
